Oak Worktop Oil

Osmo Oak Worktop Oil is a hardwearing, protective oil for use on all types of wooden worktops. It is a blend of natural oils and waxes that penetrate deep into the wood grain to nourish, protect and enhance the natural beauty of the wood. It is easy to apply and quick drying, and provides a durable and attractive finish that will last for years.

1. Preparation: Before applying Osmo Oak Worktop Oil, ensure that the surface is clean, dry and free from grease, dirt and dust.

2. Application: Apply Osmo Oak Worktop Oil evenly to the surface with a lint-free cloth, working from one end to the other. Make sure to cover the entire surface.

3. Wipe off Excess Oil: Once the oil has been applied, wipe off any excess oil with a clean, dry cloth. This will help to ensure that the surface is evenly coated and that no excess oil remains on the surface.

4. Allow to Dry: Allow the Osmo Oak Worktop Oil to dry overnight, or for at least 8 hours, before using. This will allow the oil to fully penetrate and protect the surface.

Remarkable finish

Easy, follow instructions, rub on wipe off 8 hours between coats. 4 coats my ercol table looks new.

Stylish quality

Initially we just wanted some coat hooks but then discovered these which were ideal as they complemented our new wallpaper which features herons. They are great quality, easy to fix and unusual. We are very happy with our purchase and have drawn many favourable comments. We'll probably purchase some more

Solid little brackets, nicely made

Solid, nicely made, look as good in the flesh as they do in the promotional images. Hefty feel to them. I will be buying from here again should I need to. Only slight niggle is that on the smaller bracket as I bought, the screw-hole is fairly narrow, but I think that's just an unavoidable consequence of the smaller size. I couldn't speak for larger ones, but I would hope that they would have a larger screw-hole to accommodate thicker, more heavy duty screws. You may want to check that. The bracket itself is certainly up to heavy-duty work, you just need to select your screws carefully to match. The provided screws are fine for most purposes. I was using these to hold up a heavy oak mantel, hence wanting longer, stronger screws than most people would.

Good coverage, easy to use.

I was going to purchase this product online from a major diy retailer but saw that it would be shipped direct from Oakcrafts. Decided to buy direct from Oakcrafts - not only was it the same price, a free Harris paintbrush was included and it was delivered free within 24hrs of placing my order. I received good advice from a friendly and helpful person on the online chat. The product itself was used to protect a bare softwood pine arbour, and was easy to apply. A full 1L tin did a single generous coat on the whole arbour, with enough left over to give the roof a second coat. So far, I am impressed with the finish and it seems to be repelling water well. Time will tell how long it lasts but if I get a year, I'll be happy. Average price too.
