Got a project in mind but unsure which size shaker peg you need? Well, worry no more as we have put together a comprehensive guide so you know what size peg you'll need to make your vision come to life!
Before we get into the different uses for the pegs, it is worth noting that most of our pegs come in packs of 5, 10, 20, 50 and 100. Now let's get into the uses:
Birch / Oak Shaker Peg 1 3/4"
These are the smallest shaker pegs in our range. Due to their size, we would recommend not putting anything too heavy on these ones. Therefore, we would recommend using them for decorative use either as a stand along peg on your wall or underneath a shelf.
Birch / Oak Shaker Peg 2.5"
Moving up the sizes, 2.5" is the next peg up and is likely to be a little bit sturdier. Therefore, we would suggest hanging light items such as decorative fabric hearts, oven gloves or tea towels to create a fun and creative way of storing your miscellaneous bits and pieces.
Birch / Oak Shaker Peg 3.5"
Next up, we have 3.5" shaker pegs which are more likely to be able to take some weight due to their thickness. You could use this peg to create a peg for your dogs lead or store hats and scarves or lightweight jackets as part of a DIY coat rack. The screw in version adds more ease to the 'putting together' process.

Jumbo Birch Shaker Peg 5.25"
The jumbo pegs are the latest addition to our shaker peg range. As suggested by their name, they are jumbo meaning they are likely to hold more weight. Therefore, you could experiment by hanging more heavier items from them such as winter coats.
