Safety Data Sheet

Product Information

Osmo Natural Oil Woodstain is suitable for all exterior uses and provides a beautiful, oil-based protection finish.

The risk of swelling and shrinkage is decreased by the microporous, breathable coating, which also allows the wood to breathe, weather and UV-resistant and water repellent.

Osmo Natural Oil Woodstain contains active substances that inhibit the growth of algae, fungi, and mildew. With it's Proven finish that has stood the test of time in a variety of weather circumstances it's incredibly hard wearing.

Osmo Natural Oil Woodstain Preparation

Clean, dry, and frost-free wood surfaces with a maximum moisture content of 20% are required.
Osmo Natural Oil Woodstain is ready to use, never thin but it's essential to stir thoroughly.

Please apply the first layer before installation, if at all feasible, on all sides. Remove all traces of old stains and old paints and lacquers before application. Use a dust mask whenever you are sanding.

The state of the wood is one of several variables that affect the finished surface, a test application is therefore usually necessary, especially on uncharted surfaces.

If more defence against blue stain, rot, and insects is desired, pre-treat the wood with Osmo WR Base Coat, preferably on all sides.

Application

Apply thinly along the wood grain with an Osmo Flat Brush or Osmo Microfibre Roller, and then spread evenly. 4-6 hours should be given to drying with proper ventilation.

Apply a second coat after that. One coat applied to a dry, clean surface is typically sufficient for renovation projects.

Maintenance

Regular Cleaning: Damp cleaning with Osmo Decking Cleaner using Osmo Decking Cleaning Brush.

Occasional Maintenance: If necessary, intensive cleaning and refreshing using Osmo Wood Reviver Power Gel or Osmo Gard Clean.

Recoating: Simply re-apply one coat onto the clean and dry surface when signs of wear become visible.

Osmo Natural Oil Woodstain Additional Information

Transparent colours can differ from the sample colours since they are impacted by the wood's original colour.

Light translucent colour schemes are not advised for surfaces exposed to intense sunlight because they only provide minimal UV protection. First satin-glossy, then satin, describes the dried surface.

After the coating has completely dried, it is advised to add one more top coat of Osmo UV Protection Oil Extra 420 Clear to increase its lifespan (not recommended for White 900).

Many types of wood have coloured extractives that are water soluble and may naturally bleed out during weathering. Each and every colour tone can be combined with another.
