Osmo Country Colours Preparation and Application


  • Ensure your wooden surface is clean, dry and frost free with a maximum moisture content of 20%
  • Make sure you thoroughly stir before using Osmo Country Colours
  • Before applying the first layer, it is advisable to try a test patch first 
  • We would recommend applying the first layer before installation as well as removing all traces of any old paints or lacquers
  • Ensure you wear a dust mask when sanding


  • Apply thinly and evenly along the wood grain to the clean, dry wood using an Osmo Flat Brush or Osmo Microfibre Roller ensuring to distribute well
  • Once the first coat is applied, aim for 10 - 12 hours of dry time with sufficient ventilation
  • Then apply a second, equally thin application once the first coat has dried
