Our cast iron products are supplied straight from the factory with a light oil or wax coating to prevent rusting. Cast Iron is susceptible to rust when exposed to moisture directly or in high humidity, in cases where the product may be exposed to moisture we recommend applying a suitable finish such as lacquer or varnish and oiling will also provide a level of protection. Light surface corrosion can easily be removed with a lightly oiled cloth, wire wool or a wire brush or if you like the more industrial aged look then no coating will be needed.

For lasting protection we recommend using our Renaissance Wax Polish which provide lasting protection on metals and many other surfaces.

Our wooden products are sourced from sustainable managed FSC certified forests and our suppliers are FSC certified importers.

Plywood Grades
Our plywood boards are cut from BB/BB grade quality baltic birch plywood sheets. This grade of plywood allows for patches either an oval or a jigsaw on the face of a board, we ensure there is always one perfect face and minimal boards with a plug or patch and on one face only.

Plywood Tear Out
Tear out is unavoidable on the cross cut. We remove boards with excessive tear out but there may be minimal amounts on the reverse side.

Plywood Bowing
On occasions due to changes in temperature and humidity boards can slightly bow, this can sometimes happen after packing whilst in storage or transit. If you receive any boards which have excessive bowing then please get in touch for replacement.
